Advanced Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

"When strong, secure relationships are in place, children are more confident to take risks, express themselves, and engage deeply in learning."

I began my journey in early childhood education in 1998 and joined Kool Kids Miami in 2026. Throughout my career, I have worked with children across all age groups and held roles as an Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, and Centre Manager, a position I first stepped into in 2004.
I have always had a deep passion for caring for children. Even from a young age, children brought me genuine happiness, and that passion has only grown over time. I love watching children grow, learn, and develop as they reach their milestones, and I value the honesty and openness children bring to the world. Children are not biased. They simply want to be loved, to share their experiences, and to have someone they can depend on.
Through my experience, I have learned that children are naturally curious, capable, and eager to make sense of the world around them. They learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Every child brings their own strengths, cultural background, temperament, and learning style, and these differences enrich the learning environment. When strong, secure relationships are in place, children are more confident to take risks, express themselves, and engage deeply in learning. I see behaviour as a form of communication, and understanding the reason behind it is essential to supporting children effectively.
My approach is grounded in warmth, patience, and curiosity. I meet children where they are, nurture their confidence, and support their growth not only in learning, but in who they are becoming as individuals. I believe early learning centres complement what children experience at home. While home provides comfort, connection, and individual attention, a centre gently introduces children to a wider world in a supportive and nurturing way. Our team is experienced, confident, and deeply committed to children’s well-being. Our learning experiences and activities are thoughtfully created to meet the needs of individual children.
I believe strong relationships are built when families feel seen, heard, and valued. I actively acknowledge and celebrate different cultures, languages, and family structures, and I adapt routines where possible to support individual family needs. I also value learning from families, as they are the experts on their own children. By listening, communicating openly, and building genuine partnerships, I aim to create a strong sense of trust and community where children and families can truly thrive.
I look forward to welcoming your family to our Miami community.

## Our innovative early learning programs

At our early learning centre in Miami, our play-based curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children to learn through play, exploration and discovery.

#### Sustainability

Children develop respect for the environment through gardening, recycling and nature-based learning. Educators also introduce the interconnected aspects of sustainability, including environmental, social and economic, through concepts like fairness, sharing and community.

#### Creative Arts

Children express ideas and make meaning using a range of creative experiences, including painting, drawing, drama, dance, storytelling, music and craft activities. These experiences encourage imagination, self-expression and confidence while supporting fine motor development.

#### STEM

Educators introduce open-ended materials and invitations to explore, such as building, measuring and experimenting. Through shared conversations and investigation, children develop curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

#### Social and emotional learning

Children develop a strong sense of identity as they feel safe, secure and supported, building confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self. Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships.

Kool Kids Miami has been one of the greatest blessings in our lives. My daughter has been attending since she was just 18 months old, and the growth I've witnessed in her emotionally, socially, and academically has been nothing short of incredible. She has developed into the most confident, curious, and kind little soul, and I know so much of that is thanks to the nurturing environment the team has created.

As a single mum, the support I’ve received from the Kool Kids staff has meant the world to me. Through personal challenges and moments of uncertainty, they have shown nothing but care, understanding, and the utmost dedication to my daughter's well-being. Every milestone, every celebration, every little moment it's been met with genuine joy and attention from the team.

I can't recommend Kool Kids Miami highly enough. It’s more than a daycare it’s a place where children are deeply seen, supported, and celebrated. Thank you for playing such a beautiful role in my daughter's journey.

We absolutely love Kool Kids Miami ! The care and support they provide to both children and parents is truly exceptional. One of the reasons we chose this daycare was because of the long-standing staff — and it’s been the best decision we’ve made.

Our youngest daughter settled into the nursery class so smoothly, thanks to the incredible Miss Nikki. She now looks forward to going each day — all because of the beautiful bond she’s built with her educator. A big thank you to Miss Nikki, for being so genuine, for your unwavering support, your kind and caring nature, and for putting our minds at ease during such an important time. She is the heart and soul of the junior side.

Miss Morgan has also been an incredibly nurturing and supportive educator to our eldest daughter. She has gone above and beyond — not just for our daughter, but for us as parents too — offering guidance, encouragement, and genuine care every step of the way.

Kool Kids Miami has created a warm, supportive environment that we’re truly grateful to be part of. I highly recommend this daycare to anything that is looking , you will not be disappointed

Best kindy ever!!! I can’t say enough about Kool Kids Miami! The staff are the most incredible people, so caring and nurturing and really invested in every childs wellbeing and experience at kindy. We took our older child here 6 year ago and have another child there now and I think it has only improved over that time. There is not a lot of staff turn over, many staff have been there over 10+ years which I think is a testament to how great the environment is! Excellent communication, very clean and always growing and looking for new experiences for the kids! I have referred so many people here!!

## Frequently asked questions

##

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. [Click here to book a tour online.](/book-a-tour)

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

##

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

[Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.](/family-information/how-to-enrol)

##

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

[Learn more about our Settling-in Program.](/family-information/settling-in-program)

##

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits, spare socks and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

##

Kool Kids uses Xplor Home as our [family communication app](/family-information/family-communication). It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

##

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Kool Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
